End of a painful week. We're just doing final user testing on our data center move that we've been working on non-stop for the last 3 days... well all of this last week really. So far the worst part about it has been the spies that are around. The new boss had his other managers come in and report on our activities back to him. He didn't want updates from me, he wanted them from someone else. Ass.



Sontag November 20

I went to the indoor range tonight at 6pm (they're open until 10pm) and apparently it's a really popular idea. Huge wait list, every Asian gang banger in Milpitas must have been there standing around being stupid. Ugh. So much for that idea, I just left. I wanted to test out the new .22 ammo I picked up for the Kimber but I'll have to wait.

Yesterday we went wine tasting with Scott and Lina again. There is this "passport to the wineries" program where you buy a booklet that lets you get into 30+ wineries in the Santa Cruz mountains on 4 special days. Some are only open on these days, others are just open all the time but with the passport you get a free tasting. We hit a few that were only open for this program and a two of the larger ones and it wasn't a bad day. We ended up adding 4 bottles of wine to the new fridge. :)

Today was mostly a wasted day, just doing housework, burying the last hamster that died yesterday, doing laundry and mostly just sitting around. I really, really don't want to go into work next week which really takes all the incentive out of everything else.

Spent over 3 cumulative hours today hearing about how I suck, my group sucks and we have no idea what we're doing. New boss is not happy with anything we do and continues to blame us for failures that were not us and continues to use known incorrect facts to pass judgment on our performance. It's really hard to defend yourself vs. things that didn't happen.

Nothing for the whole of November? I guess it's the 8th and I've been out of town a lot so there is some logic to that.
